The 2025 Middletown Westside Charcuterie Crawl was a delicious success! On May 1st, downtown Middletown came alive as food lovers gathered for an evening of bites, sips, and small business charm. Hosted along the west side of Main Street, this signature event featured charcuterie tastings, local craft beer pairings from Volunteer Brewing Co., and specialty offerings from participating merchants.

The evening kicked off at Hellings Kitchens & Baths, where guests checked in and enjoyed their first round of curated charcuterie and beverages. The stunning showroom made attendees feel like they were dining in their dream kitchen—many joked about wanting to renovate on the spot! The warm hospitality of Hellings set the tone, offering a relaxed and welcoming environment that felt more like a private gathering than a public event.
Guests enjoyed gourmet charcuterie boxes crafted by Sweet Dreams Confections Co., featuring artisan cheeses, salami, olives, cornichons, and herb-marinated mozzarella. Other menu highlights included shrimp ceviche and prosciutto-wrapped melon, each expertly paired with craft beers from Volunteer Brewing. Each pairing was thoughtfully selected to complement the flavors—bold IPAs with rich meats, refreshing blondes with sweet fruits, and decadent porters with nuts and chocolate.
Stops along the crawl included Marie Paige Boutique, Sweet Melissa’s Bakery, Pop In Artisan Pops, Mintz Beauty Bar, and more. Each business offered a unique twist—whether it was a wine sample, retail promotion, or a welcoming space to mingle and explore. Shoppers browsed boutique collections, enjoyed sweet treats, and connected with the people behind their favorite Main Street shops.
One of the most rewarding sights was the wide variety of attendees—from friend groups and couples to many solo women who came out to enjoy the safe, fun atmosphere. Several guests shared they’ve attended every Charcuterie Crawl so far, making it a beloved community tradition.
Between the vibrant food offerings, cheerful crowds, and genuine support for local businesses, the 2025 Westside Charcuterie Crawl reminded us all of what makes downtown Middletown special. If you missed it this year, make sure to mark your calendar for the next one—you won’t want to miss it.
